She is a technically skilled and creative professional who cares very deeply about the quality of her work and the satisfaction of her clients. Her cakes are a lot like her: approachable, just the right amount of adventurous, and precise. Communicating with Cate is so easy. We usually share some initial ideas with her, and she responds promptly with a couple of easy to understand options. Once we settle on a design, she delivers a delicious and beautiful cake every time. We love that she is able to accommodate our son's dairy intolerance, and also how easy it is to pick up an order from her at the West Seattle ferry terminal. There's something so special and exciting about sharing a wonderful cake with loved ones. Cate will do everything she can (which is quite a lot) to make your event one of your sweetest memories.   • "Where do I even start to describe this wonderful cake from Catie? One word: perfection. I honestly had no solid plans for what I wanted my wedding cake to look like, but I had seen and tasted her work at other friends’ weddings. Something I love and respect so much about Catie is that she wants the quality of her cakes to not just be the best in look, but also the best in taste. My then fiancé (now husband) and I met with Catie and tasted four different flavours and settled on three. Our absolute favourite, and the one we wanted our first bite to be, was the almond poppyseed. We also did the chocolate olive oil and the caramel apple. For the design, I had seen a cake she’d done for another wedding and loved the “deconstructed tiered” look and the oil painted look of the flowers. I knew I wanted my cake to have that kind of look, but my husband and I are big hikers so we asked for a mountain scene and beautiful handmade wildflowers. To say she delivered is an understatement. She knocked it out of the park! We adored this cake, from the way it looked to the way it tasted. We had so many of our guests complimenting on the cake and how it was the best cake they had ever had at a wedding. To have Dear Cate make your cake is the easiest and best decision you will ever make!"
